We have certainly had our share of rain to signify the changing of the season! This first day of fall seems to have an exclamation point on it this year! Autumn in the Pacific Northwest is both beautiful and rainy, but that is what make this part of the country gorgeous.

“The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on. “
Emily Dickinson

Yes we get a lot of rain in Autumn, but we also get those breath taking days of crisp cool air, bright sunshine and crunchy leaves. These are the days that make up for all the wet ones. Make sure you get out and enjoy the North West Fall.
You may not think of it but a hike at Silver Falls State Park this time of year is a fabulous and beautiful experience. Maybe a walk up Mt. Angel’s Abbey hill to soak in all the serene beauty or a drive through the country side is more your style. Whatever you do to enjoy the season in our neck of the woods, have a wonderful first week of fall!
What can we say, we just love this Willamette Valley and all it’s color this time of year! If you have been thinking of a change this season and would like to speak with one of our agents about selling or buying a home, click our link below and check out our fabulous agent page.
