Labor Day weekend is almost here! Have you made your plans yet? Whether you’re taking a much-deserved staycation or making your way toward the open road, there is plenty to do this weekend. The Oregon State Fair is still going strong where you can enjoy Motor Mania, Demolition Derby, and music artists like The Beach Boys, and Nelly. And, of course, you’ve got 4-H and the carnival as well as other activities. In the surrounding areas, there is a chance to experience brews, wines, art, and much more. This is just one of the many reasons we love living and working in the wondrous Willamette Valley.
Silverton, Molalla, Dundee Area and more…
In Silverton, there will be the Oregon Crafters Market to get your dose of art and music alike. If you’re into trains, then Molalla has just the event for you. A Train Fest event is happening where you can enjoy free train rides with you and your loved ones. If you venture north toward the Dundee area, there is the Weekend Wine Lunch at REX HILL where you may partake in a delectable culinary experience. Now, if you’re more in the mood to get some exercise in wine country, then there is also the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon as well. Of course, there are also other things going on during the weekend. You can check out the swimming holes that may be to your liking if you’d like to cool off a bit.
